On Friday we went to the inauguration of the first year in which the Institute operates. The event exceeded all my expectations. Everything took place in the Students' Palace - the great hall of the theater, belonging to a different university. The event attracted about 500 people, which for 3000 college students is quite a lot. It started of course the national anthem. Stupid thing, but fought with laughter, because before my eyes the whole time I was becoming a scene of Borat singing the national anthem (stupid movie). Especially with the voice of the singing this hymn was in a similar style to the film. Next were, of course, speech - the rector and vice rectors. Among the latter, was also Vladimir Nikolaievicz Marzanov, my 'boss'. Spoke about the need for learning foreign languages, networking with other schools, exchange students.
